Welcome From the Camp Director

Pinecrest Pavilion Named Best Summer Camp each consecutive year

since 2017 in Northern Virginia Magazine

Dear New and Returning Camp Families,
I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the Camp Director for Pinecrest’s 2026 Summer Camp season! My name is Chloe Rier, and some of you may already know me as the STEAM teacher here at Pinecrest or from teaching at last summer’s camp program. It has been such a joy to learn, grow, and create alongside your incredible children. I’m now beyond excited to carry that same energy and creativity into the upcoming summer! I look forward to seeing returning campers and getting to know new campers.
Ms. Rier (Camp Director) with students!
At Pinecrest, we believe that summer is a time for joy, exploration, and discovery. I’m confident this will be one of our most exciting summers yet! Our camp is designed to be full of adventure and laughter, but also opportunities for growth, teamwork, and connection within our Pinecrest community. Whether your child loves sports, the arts, outdoor exploration, or leadership challenges, our team is dedicated to providing a well-rounded, engaging experience for every camper. Our camp community includes rising kindergartners through sixth graders from not only Pinecrest School but also other local schools. We also have a pre-kindergarten camp program for children who are potty-trained and age 4 by September 30. The Pinecrest Pavilion experience has many opportunities for campers to collaborate, express their creativity, and see how different subjects, like art, nature, and science can come together in fun, meaningful ways.
As we prepare for another fun-filled season, please know that my top priority is to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every camper feels supported and inspired. I’m committed to upholding the values and traditions that make Pinecrest such a special place, while also introducing fresh ideas and experiences to make this summer one to remember.

I encourage you to spend time in the summer camp section of our website to learn more about this year’s camp program, check out our Facebook album of photos from last summer or contact us to learn more about our summer camp programs! I believe communication is key, and I want you to know that my door (or inbox!) is always open. If you ever have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I believe that working together as a camp community is essential for creating the best possible experience for our campers.

I am so excited for summer to arrive and can’t wait to see all our returning campers and meet new ones! Let’s make this a season full of creativity, laughter, and unforgettable memories together.
We would love to have your child be a part of our camp community.
In Community,
Chloe Rier
