Dear New and Returning Camp Families,
I am Ragan Sawyer, the Engagement and Programming Director at Pinecrest! I’m featured in the grid below, in the yellow shirt with students. This is my third year with Pinecrest, and I am ready to have another amazing summer. Previous to Pinecrest, I was directing and coordinating camps and programs previously in D.C., Florida, and even internationally. I am so happy to be part of the wonderful community at Pinecrest and to help facilitate all of the awesome activities Pinecrest Pavilion brings each summer. Our camp community includes rising kindergartners through sixth graders from not only Pinecrest School but also other local schools. We also have a preschool camp program for children who are potty-trained and age 4 by September 30.
Pinecrest Pavilion is a place where students get to experience the joys of learning and summer fun through the lens of being explorers, scientists, artists, and many more. Pinecrest Pavilion is also a safe place where students can grow and have fun! The opportunity to provide safe, whole-child focused, and memorable experiences is purposeful work for our camp teachers and staff. The guiding light as we plan and execute summer camp is creating an environment where all children can learn, be safe, and have fun together.
During busy days of experimenting with STEM and STEAM projects, playing games, creating cool art, and spending time with new friends, campers build relationships and lasting memories. For these and countless reasons, we think Pinecrest Pavilion is awesome, and people agree! We are proud that our camp has been honored as a Best Summer Camp by Northern Virginia Magazine annually since 2017 and has been previously recognized as Best Summer Camp in Washington Family Magazine.
We would love to have your child be a part of our camp community.
