Tuition is only prorated for students whose first day of school is after the school’s first day of the current school year. No tuition fees will be charged for any full months that a child has not attended Pinecrest School prior to the student’s first day of school and submission of the registration contract. If a child starts on any day of the first half of a month, the full tuition installment will be due for that month. If a child starts on any day of the second half of the month, one half of the tuition installment will be due. Tuition is not prorated for absences.
Tuition rates cover all regular classroom activities, all supplies*, and, if applicable, most field trips. The annual materials fee is per student, and it is not prorated or discounted. The fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, and due by July 1, 2023. This fee is paid in the same way as described above in “Nine Tuition Installments.”
For K-6 Students:  annual materials fee of $450.
For Preschool Students:  annual materials fee of $350.
The above fees include all needed supplies for the school year with the exception of a short list of items that parents/guardians will be required to provide including yoga mat, pencil box, and other such items that are a bit more personal in nature for each student. This short list will be provided to parents by the end of July.
Sibling Discount:  Families with multiple children enrolled at the school will pay full tuition for their oldest child and will enjoy a 15% reduction on each additional child’s tuition.
Tuition must be received by Pinecrest School by the first day of each month. A $50 late fee is charged if tuition payment is not received on or by the third day of the month. An additional $50 will be assessed after payment is 30 days late. If more than two tuition installments are late during the school year, the Board of Directors Finance Committee shall, at its discretion, require tuition installments to be made more than one month in advance. There will be a $25 charge for any returned or disputed online payments. Should more than two payments be returned during the school year, the Board of Directors Finance Committee shall, at its discretion, require payments to be made in cash, money order, cashier, or certified check.

Not unlike Pinecrest’s approach to learning with our students, Pinecrest views scholarships as individualized to each and every student. Typically scholarships are needs-based. To learn more, please inquire with your admissions point of contact.

2023-24 EXTENDED DAY FEES

  • Should the school be able to offer before-care from 8-8:30 a.m. (as in 2022-23), families would be billed at a rate of $7/student/day (regardless of how much time is used per day). This is the school’s plan at this time.
  •  Should the school be able to offer before-care from 7:30-8:30 a.m., families would be billed at a rate of $13.50/student/day (regardless of how much time is used per day). This will be entirely dependent on availability of staffing and the decision to adjust the time will likely not be made until closer to the start of
    the 2023-24 school year.
  •  Before-care is billed and paid for after use; it is not prepaid. Invoices would be emailed to parents/guardians in the first week of the subsequent month with the before-care ACH payment being pulled on the 15th of the subsequent month. Authorization for ACH pull of before-care payments occurs on the same required form referenced above in “Nine Tuition Installments.”
  • Should the school be able to offer this, families with multiple children enrolled in before-care will pay full fees for their oldest child and will enjoy a 15% reduction on each additional child’s after-care fees.
K-6 after-care is available from 3:35-6 p.m. for full-day K-6 students currently attending Pinecrest School.  Preschool after-care is available from 12:05-6 p.m. for half-day preschool students currently attending Pinecrest School.  Different staff members supervise the two after-care groups; they are not routinely combined.
Any family wishing to use the before- and/or after-care program at any point during the school year must complete an after-care registration form per family.

Invoices will be sent to parents in the first week of the subsequent month with the ACH payment for after-care being pulled on the 15th of the subsequent month. Preschool Aftercare is billed at $13.50/hour with a monthly cap of $750 (meaning that you will not be invoiced more than $750/month any given month for preschool after-care use per child); each month is billed separately beginning in August until the end of the school year. Families with multiple children enrolled in after-care will pay full fees for their oldest child and will enjoy a 15% reduction on each additional child’s after-care fees.
A $15 late pick-up fee is charged if a child is picked up between 6:00-6:10 p.m.  An additional $2 per minute is charged after 6:10 p.m.  This late fee is per child.  Advance notice of late arrival by the parent does not nullify the late fee.  Frequent late pick-ups may cause the child’s dismissal from the program.
