UPDATE 11.15.22

Dear Pinecrest Community,

 

On behalf of the Head of School Search Committee, we are pleased to provide an update on our progress. Following the campus visit of our search consultant, Tracy Bennett, we began our work in earnest. We appreciated your enthusiastic participation in the listening sessions Tracy hosted as well as the online survey. The input and feedback from parents, faculty, staff, and Board members, guided our development of the Information for Candidates or IFC (attached). This comprehensive document provides potential candidates with an overview of our school, an outline of the opportunities and challenges before us, and a profile of the skills and attributes we will look for in our next Head of School.

 

As highlighted in the IFC, we are seeking a leader “who enthusiastically embraces and champions the school’s mission, which is rooted in a commitment to progressive education and ensuring the healthy social and emotional development of all children. The successful candidate will bring a leadership approach distinguished by a warm, welcoming, and inclusive personal manner, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a commitment to inclusion and cultural competency, and a love for young children.”  We encourage you to share information about this exciting leadership opportunity in your personal and professional circles—the IFC is available on the Educators Collaborative (EC)  website as well as on LinkedIn and relevant educational forums. We will soon post it on the Pinecrest website as well. Please direct any interested individuals to Tracy, who will follow up directly; Tracy’s contact information is included on the listing and in the IFC.

 

We are also sharing a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) that provides information about the search process and timeline; please see attached. In the coming weeks, Tracy and her EC colleagues will focus on generating a robust pool of candidates for our review. The Search Committee aims to review applications in January and bring finalists to campus in February.
